Awnings maybe used for other areas other than patios. A deck may even be covered with an awning. Windows and doors can take advantage of awnings for shade and design too. Cars may be covered with a large piece. Commercial establishments including restaurants also make of awnings in larger sizes. Most of these cover items are stationary. Some awnings are also retractable and can be rolled over to a supporting structure like a wall. Windows may be covered with removable awnings as well. For outdoor purposes such as a family swim a temporary awning can be built. Awnings Canopies and Umbrellas These three all function as shades or covers for outdoor purposes. They should not be mistaken for the other though. Each one is unique on its own. Awnings are described in previous paragraphs.
A roof like structure can be less expensive than building a porch by attaching a retractable awning canopy over the patio area with little maintenance. The patio location should allow easy access to and from the indoor kitchen areas so the flow of people between is natural and direct without walking through another room or space. The flow of traffic will depend on the exact attachment and coverage of the patio retractable awning and the proximity between the patio and house. Access to the kitchen and location of the exterior doors will help in determining the preferred placement of the patio and attachment of the retractable awning. The awning comes in several standard sizes and numerous patterns and colors. The canopy material is water resistant and blocks the sun UV rays and lasts for years if properly maintained.
Fixed or permanent awning canopies or umbrellas keep the places cool and fresh. Drop curtains aluminum sunshades are generally used for windows or doors. Canopies are often used at main entrance open corridors walkways and parking lot; whereas umbrellas are mostly used at backyard cafe rooftop garden and other similar places. Retractable sunshades are also seen in commercial houses. Power Saver: The main sources of heat that increase the temperature of indoor environment are doors and windows. Placing retractable shades over windows and doors help you keep the room temperature low and reduce the load on the cooler. Consequently you save a considerable amount of money on power bills. Power consumes the lion portion of business expenses these days. By installing commercial awnings you can lower your overheads forever.
