Metal Apart from the fabric canopies the use of steel and aluminium in the canvas or structure became popular during the 1950s. These material are easy to maintain and can be painted easily matching to the theme and colours. However they ran out of the race because of the fact that they are hard to clean easy to dent and cannot be rolled back to its place when not required. They require special hinges or method to scroll up and down. It is a preferable choice for those who believe in the robust material over creative one. Fiber Glass Apart from quality fabrics and tensile aluminium frames the fiber glass is a lightweight alternative as it can be moulded into any shape. They are opaque and slightly translucent in nature which allows enough sunlight to walk in.
Awnings maybe used for other areas other than patios. A deck may even be covered with an awning. Windows and doors can take advantage of awnings for shade and design too. Cars may be covered with a large piece. Commercial establishments including restaurants also make of awnings in larger sizes. Most of these cover items are stationary. Some awnings are also retractable and can be rolled over to a supporting structure like a wall. Windows may be covered with removable awnings as well. For outdoor purposes such as a family swim a temporary awning can be built. Awnings Canopies and Umbrellas These three all function as shades or covers for outdoor purposes. They should not be mistaken for the other though. Each one is unique on its own. Awnings are described in previous paragraphs.
For one thing awnings and commercial shade structures are all about making a first impression. Remember that long before a restaurant patron has taken their first bite of bread or sipped their first cocktail they ve already surveyed the exterior of the building. Does your restaurant fit the neighborhood? Does it stand out in a productive and meaningful manner? And is the restaurant s signage appropriate for the space? Failure to pass these basic tests may mean a loss of business - something no restaurant owner wants to see happen. Awnings and canopies are ideal ways to invite a positive dining experience. Awnings are both functional and promotional items. On one hand they protect patrons from the elements providing a measure of wind shield shade during sultry summer evenings and of course protection from rain and even snow.
